How the GDS Percentage Calculation Works
Percentage = (marks obtained ÷ maximum marks) × 100. For example, 475 marks out of 500 equals 95.00%.
- Check the marks and maximum marks printed on your SSC or Class 10 memo.
- Enter the total obtained marks in the first box and maximum marks in the second.
- Select Calculate % and copy the result only when the application asks for a percentage.
Important: India Post instructs candidates to enter SSC marks, grades or points exactly as recorded on the marks memo. This calculator does not invent a grade-to-percentage conversion. Use any conversion rule supplied by your board and verify the current GDS notification before submitting.
